Keene PD
The City of Keene is a rural town of about 6,500, located in Johnson County, Texas, about 25 miles south of downtown Fort Worth. Since 1981 the Keene Police Department has operated its own Emergency Communications division, and has also been the communications center for various agencies over that time period.
The Police Department consists of twelve full time officers and two reserve officers. The 24 hour Emergency Communications department consists of five full time dispatchers and offers the community expertise in 911 Call Taking, TLETS computer operations, and emergency radio dispatch.
The Police Department is also in charge of the Keene Animal Control Department, which consists of one full time and one part time officer.
The members of the Keene Police Department are dedicated to protect the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the occurrence and fear of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with the community to improve the quality of life. We will do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.
